Every family has unwanted goods in the back of their closet, garage, or attic that can be donated. You can raise money by simply asking them to donate this clothing, shoes and other household items! The message is as simple as the fundraising event: you ask for items that someone no longer needs, wears or uses and we can turn this donation into money for your organization. This fundraiser is also an opportunity to involve and engage your entire community to recycle through donations.
How do we do it?
On a scheduled date you will ask the public to simply bring the used clothing and used household goods to a designated drop off site and load the supplied trailer. You can turn this fundraising drive date into a larger event by combining it with bake sales, car wash…the ideas are limitless…but the focus is to raise money by supporting other worthwhile causes while at the same time, helping people recycle things they no longer use.
With the exception of spreading the word and ensuring the drop off date is organized, this is an easy event for you to coordinate. There is nothing for you to sell and no money to collect. Your group raises funds by the amount of goods that are donated. The more used clothing and used household goods placed on the truck, the more money you will make.
